Bowls
Every bowl recreates the act of cupping one's hands, in greeting or in gratitude. It is how we offer food. It is how we accept alms. It is how we hold clay.
I make these bowls during workshops designed to give student volunteers a personal, hands-on chance to help end hunger. What emerges from these teaching/learning exchanges is how clay can empower and transform lives, for both makers and recipients. Make an offer if you'd like to receive and bestow one of these bowls yourself.
